Dr. Oma Efeotor graduated from Bart’s and the London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, in 2011. She completed her foundation training in South Norwood, London, and went on to qualify with Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2014.

Since qualifying, Oma has worked extensively in general practice and joined Croydon’s out-of-hours urgent dental care centre in 2012, where she continues to provide emergency care. She is particularly skilled in diagnosing dental pain and trauma and delivering calm, effective treatment in urgent situations.

In May 2024, Oma became the principal dentist and owner of West Croydon Dental Practice. She is passionate about serving the community with ethical, high-quality dentistry, demonstrating empathy, clinical excellence, and a patient-centred approach.

Her professional interests include cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She has completed postgraduate certifications in Advanced Operative Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Advanced Endodontics, and Advanced Occlusion, and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma. She is certified in Invisalign and enjoys transforming smiles through minimally invasive treatments such as composite bonding. In 2016, she also trained in providing conscious sedation for nervous patients.

Oma is dedicated to the advancement of the dental profession. She has been a member of the British Dental Association Croydon Section committee since 2013 and currently serves as Chair, organising continuing professional development events for local colleagues. She previously served on the Croydon Local Dental Committee from 2018 to 2022.

Outside of dentistry, Oma enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, attending live music events, running, and sewing. As a mother of two young children, she is especially mindful of the importance of both general and oral health across all life stages.
